A Libellatici azon keresztények voltak, akik Decius császár (ur. 249-251) rendeletének megfelelően igazolványt, libelli-t, szereztek arról, hogy bemutatták áldozatukat a pogány isteneknek, és így megmenekültek a büntetésektől és megtarthatták kiváltságaikat. Sokan a Libellatici közül nem mutattak be valójában áldozatot, hanem pénzért megvették az igazolványokat, a libelli-t.
A jelenlegi helyzetet elnézve valami hasonló történik ma is, amikor a szekuláris, néha magukat kereszténynek álcázó, kormányok szerte a világon megakarják fosztani egyes jogaiktól azon állampolgáraikat, akiknek nincs meg az oltást bizonyító libelliük.
Persze ma nem kérik nyíltan azt, hogy pogány istenek imádjuk, de a lényeg ugyan az. Elfogadni azt, amit az istentelen világi hatalom diktál pusztán azért, hogy megőrizhessük bizonyos kiváltságainkat. De mégis mi ez ha nem bálványimádás és millenarizmus? Jézus Krisztus Urunk eljövendő királysága helyett az itteni földi jólétünkre és nyugalmunkra törekszünk, hogy e rövidke földi életünkben "teljes gőzzel" élvezhessük a még hátralevő éveket.
Az összes mennyei hatalmak, a szentéletű és istenhordozó atyáink és maga a Legszentebb Istenszülő adjon nekünk erőt, ahhoz, hogy megmaradjunk az igaz úton.

We will we be the new Libellatici?
The Libellatici were those Christians who, in accordance with the decree of Emperor Decius (ac. 249-251), obtained a certificate, the libelli, as a proof that they presented their sacrifice to the pagan gods and thus escaping punishment and retaining their privileges. Many of the Libellatici did not actually present their sacrifice to pagan gods, but bought the certificates, the libelli, for money.
Looking at the current situation, something similar is happening today, secular governments, sometimes disguising themselves as Christians, around the world wanting to deprive some of the rights of those citizens who do not have a certification to prove vaccination.
Of course, today they are not openly asking for the worship of pagan gods, but the point is the same. To accept what the ungodly secular power dictates, merely because we want to preserve some of our privileges. But what is this if not idolatry and millenarism? Instead of the coming Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, we strive for our earthly prosperity and tranquility here on this earth so that in this short earthly life we can enjoy the remaining of our years "in full steam."
All the Heavenly Powers, our Holy and God-bearing Fathers, and the Most Holy Mother of God Herself, give us strength to stay on the right path.
